Common Questions
What does it take to build a QMS from scratch?
Our projects include the training and documentation that are required to get you on your way to being certified. Procedures, forms, and on-site or remote training is crucial to make this work and we try to keep things smart. We have developed simple tools and forms that can easily be used to drive your processes. We also offer ERP configurations and soft ERP setup and implementations. This does not need to be complicated, and we don't upsell or use gimmicks. We can customize based on your budget and the resources available to you.
Do I need an internal audit, or a gap assessment?
If you already have an ISO certified QMS you need an internal audit. If you have never been certified, you can get a gap assessment to tell you which requirements you are missing. To be clear, a gap assessment is not an ISO requirement, it's a helpful tool to identify gaps.
If you have been trying to do ISO on your own, bravo! You may be able to use an internal audit, give us a call and we can chat about it!
What is a gap assessment?
A gap assessment is conducted to see which areas of your business are not meeting ISO requirements. Sometimes the process is hardy but is just missing a requirement or two, other times the process is completely out of conformance. It's hard to say without asking you a lot of questions, thus, the gap assessment. A high-level report will be delivered to you with confidence levels for each process.
What is included with internal audits?
Internal audits are conducted on-site or remote, depending on your preference and budget. We conduct an opening meeting, audit each segment of your business, and then perform a closing meeting to discuss our findings. You will receive a professional report binder to show to your certification auditor as evidence of the audit.
We make lots of recommendations and do as much training as possible during the course of the audit. We don't just point things out, we tell you why and make sure that you understand the requirements as time allows. We strongly encourage your staff to join the auditor to learn the auditing process.
Hourly Services
We can do a lot in an hour. If you need help with a specific problem or process failure, this is the way to go. We provide on-site or remote options to fit your budget. We only use IRCA Certified Lead Auditors for hourly consulting services. We can easily help you with things like: calibration questions, corrective action reports, root cause analysis, or just general issues.
Prior to setting up an appointment, make sure the ISO requirement you are trying to meet actually exists. The most common questions we've seen in our careers have to do with solutions that were developed to meet an ISO requirement that doesn't exist. We don't want to waste your time, or your money.
